A Cyclist’s Thanks
Giving thanks to cycling & the cycling community
It has been a challenging year, to say the least. Without American Tourism, we have missed sharing our rides, wine, food, and amazing Tuscan sights in 2020. But the unique thing about cycling is, with a bike, a good pedal is just outside your door. Cycling clears the mind, provides escape and helps reframe negatives into positives. While many of my rides this year have been reluctantly 'solo', I know that many of you are out pedaling with the same love of the sport that I do, and that knowledge brings community, even in a pandemic.
With each ride, my thoughts turn to 2021 when the opportunity to host you all returns. I've pushed myself to explore new routes and expand our offerings. In particular, I've had the opportunity to venture back into the woods on my MTB and have renewed my passion for the discipline that I credit as launching 'cycling as a profession' for me.
We hope that you have reconnected with cycling on a deeper level as well this year. Aren't we lucky to have found cycling and have it is an integral part of our life? I know I am thankful.
We wish you a very special and safe Thanksgiving. It may not be with family and friends as usual, but, as we see it, it's a year to launch new traditions and embrace the things that connect us, even when we are apart.
